Attendance / Grade Report

NOTE: You can double click on any screen image to enlarge it.  When you want to go back to the blog, click on the X in the upper right corner of the image.

The Attendance and Grade reports allow you to specify the criteria for listing students on the reports.  For example, you may want to see how many students have been late for school during the quarter. Or, it may be near the end of the quarter, and you want to see the students who are in danger of failing a course.

Here's how you generate the report.

From the main Powerschool menu, select Attendance, then Search by Grades / Attendance.

The next screen image shows how to set up both reports.  DO NOT TRY TO RUN THE ATTENDANCE AND GRADE REPORTS AT THE SAME TIME.  However, the screen does show the setup for both reports.  In the case below, the Grade Report is looking for any students with a current grade of "D" or "F" for the first quarter. The Attendance report is searching for any student with more than 1 Tardy for the period from 9/1/2011 thru 10/4/2011.

The next screen is an image of the Grade Report.  Note that when you run it, the students names will be in blue, and as a general rule in Powerschool, anything in blue can be clicked on.
When you click on a student's name, a second box will open up, and in that box, you can click on Quick Lookup to get more detail on either the subject that the student is in danger of failing, or the student's  attendance problem.
Click on either the grade or attendance figure to get more detail.

Another useful attendance report is the Attendance Count Report.  To run this report, go to the main menu and click on Attendance, then Attendance Count.
The next two screens show how to setup the report.  Take a look at all of the red circles and comments to guide you through setting up the report.

This is the resulting report.
